Notice of Data Breach
Dear Clients,
We are writing to inform you of a recent incident that may have involved some of your personal information.
What happened
An unauthorized third party had gained access to our archive server for a period of 2 days before being removed. Upon discovery, we immediately secured the system and notified relevant authorities.
What information may be involved
The activity was limited to our archive server, which contains historical data from 2017–2023. Information created after this period is stored elsewhere and has not been affected.
At this stage, we cannot confirm any specific individual’s details have been accessed.
The archive stored management agreements, lease agreements, personal identification information and financial records, though the type and extent of stored information will vary by client.
Though we do not have this information stored for all clients, by law, we are required to inform you of any information that could be involved.
What we are doing
We have taken this incident very seriously. To help protect your information, we have:
- Engaged the services of our managed IT company to review and report on the incident.
- Reset all passwords.
- Enhanced the security of our archive system.
- Reported the incident to all relevant authorities.
- Begun implementing new procedures for the handling of personal information.
This is not an exhaustive list of everything we are doing, but there are more processes in the works.
What you can do
We recommend that you remain attentive to your financial accounts and promptly report any unusual activity to your bank or provider.
